Wattle Glen Renovation
This home is set on an amazing bush block with a view from every window. The home was architecturally designed so it had lovely features but it was built in the 70s so it was very due for a renovation to update it. We started by replacing the flooring with beautiful large plank oak boards laid in a herringbone pattern. The walls were painted white and the windows were updated by painting them black. Before this home had a lot of dark brick which looked outdated and gloomy so this was bagged and painted white for a more modern look. This created textured walls that suit the style of the home and it was lovely that the home had some arches that were transformed when they were bagged. We chose a grey shaker style for the kitchen cabinetry that has a timeless style and works well with the natural colours in the bush surround. We chose a brass sink, tap and handles that adds warmth to the room. The kitchen is a galley style and they now have plenty of storage and a good working triangle between the fridge, cook top and sink.
